TIES Workshop Program Overview
Improving Your Edge
TIES workshops, organized in collaboration with destination partners, aim to enhance knowledge and strengthen opportunities for stakeholders to benefit from sustainable tourism. Through practical training and education programs, these workshops help empower tourism professionals to make a positive impact, as well as achieving revenue goals and business priorities.
Ecotourism Principles, Sustainable Tourism Strategies
Focusing on practical skills and tangible actions, TIES workshops highlight key issues and topics including: stakeholder engagement, business plans, destination master plans, product development, sustainability standards for the tourism industry, green infrastructure in tourism, interpretation skills, communication and marketing.
TIES Expert Team
Representing a wide range of professional fields – from ecolodge design, marketing to fundraising – and diverse groups of tourism stakeholders, TIES Board of Advisors serves as a leading source of knowledge and expertise on ecotourism and sustainable tourism. TIES Advisors appoint workshop facilitators and form customized approaches to each program.
