Green Path Transfers transports earth-conscious travellers in Europe

In memory of Chief Randy Kapashesit of Northern Ontario, who passed away at a much too early age this past week.

Two leaders in ecotourism, the U.S-based Naturalist Journeys and Panama’s Canopy Lodge and Tower, team up this summer to offer a Green Season Biodiversity Workshop, designed for a small group of 10 participants, July 18-27, 2012.

The following message was written by TIES Advisory Board member Rick MacLeod Farley, who has worked with Chief Randy Kapashesit and known him personally. By sharing Rick's message, we hope to honor Randy's life and legacy, and to share some of Randy's wisdom and inspirations, which some of us have been fortunate enough to have experienced first hand. The entire team of TIES wishes to send our condolences to Randy's family, friends, Cree Village Ecolodge team and everyone in the community of MoCreebec.

The National Association of Recreation Resource Planners (NARRP) annual awards recognize outstanding accomplishments by individuals, agencies, and organizations in the field of recreation resource planning and management. The NARRP Board of Directors presented seven awards in three categories at their annual conference that was held April 16-20, 2012 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
