The University of Derby Buxton

The University of Derby Buxton is delighted to become an institutional member of The International Ecotourism Society. At the university, we deliver a range of ecotourism degrees, including a B.Sc. Ecotourism and several Joint Honours programmes, where ecotourism can be combined with Adventure Tourism, Countryside Management or Outdoor Recreation. Our ecotourism degrees combine a mixture of physical and social science modules related to the delivery of sustainable tourism in natural areas; including GIS Mapping, Nature Conservation and Critical Reflections on Ecotourism. We are currently recruiting for September entry. For any enquiries on our programmes please contact a.johnston[at]derby.ac.uk.

More about the University and Ecotourism Programmes

University of Derby BuxtonThe University of Derby Buxton offers the UK's only BSc (Hons) Ecotourism and Joint Honours Ecotourism, undergraduate degrees which explore the complex relationship between tourism and the environment.

We are based in Buxton, right in the heart of the Peak District, one of the most visited national parks in the world. Our Ecotourism degrees are taught in the amazing surroundings of Oaklands Manor, a 58 acre outdoor leadership centre which allow students to learn conservation and tourism skills in practice.
