Gautier Amoussou has been actively contributing to the development of various ecotourism projects and services, such as village homestay, ecolodges, local guiding programs, carbon offset projects at mangroves plantation on the Ahémé Lake and clean cook stove installations help improve local people's lives. Gautier has also led the organization of the "Solidarity Caravan" in West Africa, engaging people from across Benin, as well as Togo, Ghana, Burkina-Faso, France, Germany and Italy.

 

As the national coordinator of Eco-Benin, Gautier has led the creation of the Beninese federation of responsible and fair tourism organizations (FBO-TRS), which has become an important national network composed of 12 skilled members. Eco-Benin has been collaborating with the Netherlands Organization for Development (SNV) to help develop sustainable tourism destinations management areas, while providing capacity building opportunities for the locals. Eco-Bening and SNV are also working with the European Commission program called "High Impact Tourism Training for the Informal Sector" to promote market-oriented, vocational training for women, young people and unskilled and semi-skilled workers.
