TO DO! Contest for Socially Responsible Tourism

TO DO! ContestThe Studienkreis für Tourismus und Entwicklung e.V. (Institute for Tourism and Development) worldwide announces the 2012 TO DO! – Contest Socially Responsible Tourism, and calls for entries from enterprises and public or private institutions that implement tourism activities focusing on the interests and needs of the local population.

 

***Application deadline: 31 August 2012

 

The contest cooperation partners: German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Church Development Service (EED), ITB Berlin, Swiss Foundation for Solidarity in Tourism, Studiosus Reisen München GmbH. TO DO!-Prize money is provided by Swiss Foundation for Solidarity in Tourism, and each winner receives 5,000 Swiss Francs.

 

The contest will only accept entries for projects and measures whose planning and implementation involves the different interests and needs of the local population through participation on a broad scale (e.g. through information, opinion poll, discussion, in working out ideas and in decision-making).

 

The TO DO! Contest award ceremony will take place during ITB Berlin in March 2013.
