Chitral Celebrates Local Team's Victory in Pakistan's Shandur Polo Festival

Shandur Polo Festival is the greatest cultural event in Northern Pakistan, held every year in the first week of July. The Festival features a polo tournament held on Shandur Top, the highest polo ground in the world (at 3,700 meters), and attract thousands of tourists from across the country, as well as foreign visitors who come to enjoy the game and the cultural activities during the three-day festival. This year the polo team of Chitral won the event with 10 goals to 5.
