New print and digital magazine will feature upscale Florida outdoor and cultural themes


Art & Gator Magazine and ToursVero Beach, Florida, February 15, 2012 - Art & Gator magazine and website launching in Spring 2012 may combine an odd couple but it will also be a Florida first: combining the finest of arts and nature-based travel in the Sunshine State for affluent visitors whose interests extend to everything from museums, fine art and theater to the fabled Everglades.


"Florida's award-winning state parks and trails provide an exquisite setting for the outdoors enthusiast and art lover to connect to nature," said Florida Park Service Director Donald V. Forgione.


The combination of art and alligators does not roll off the tongue for many visitors who think of Florida as dominated by theme parks and beaches. "There is an information void for some of Florida's 82.3 million visitors, who are interested in these two very popular areas - culture such as museums and eco destinations such as Florida's famous Everglades. We will be the first and only magazine to bridge these gaps," said George Byfield, president and CEO of Art & Gator Media.
