  • About Us

    The regional NGO Kamchatka Ecotourism Society was chartered in April 2006 to promote sustainable ecotourism in Kamchatka, improving quality and quantity of ecotourism services in Kamchatka and to provide tourism professionals and local people with training opportunities in sustainable tourism. The organization has a membership of around 50 people and other NGOs all of whom are supporters of the principles of ecotourism, many of whom are tourism professionals and owners of tourism business.

    Sustainability Practices

    We promote sustainable ecotourism practices in Kamchatka tourism industry and Protected Areas thru education and training activities. Members of our Society who operate tourism business are supporting conservation thru direct financial support of Protected areas management like law enforsement (antipoaching) brigades operationa, also thru participation in different eco-monitoring projects. Tour operators incourage their customers donate moderate amounts for definite conservation projects Thru edicational and training programs, thru invilvement into ecotourism operations
