Biography

Originally from the Jura Mountains in eastern France, Dominique moved to Colorado from Paris in 1982 to design passive solar homes in harmony with the environment. In 1984 he founded his own firm, through which he has prioritized sustainable designs that conserve energy, limit environmental impact and contribute to the user's enjoyment of life. His expertise in creating uplifting, inspiring spaces that express and protect a unique identity of place is enhanced by 10 years of practical construction management experience through Gettliffe Architecture's former subsidiary Gettliffe Construction. Dominique's personal interest and research focusses on design that promotes healthy communities. He has applied this interest to community and humanitarian architecture projects in places such as the Congo and Romania. Ecotourism and ecolodge design is an area that unites his expertise and experience with a passion for artful, sustainable architecture that has a positive impact on the individual and community.
